#ThriftingThursday Thrift Giving
Helping others through donation
Most of the thrifting I have done this month has been in the area of limiting fuel use. I’ve stayed close to home. Staying close to home means looking at the “stuff.”
One thing I really must get a handle on is shifting out the tremendouse amount of stuff we have that we don’t use. Not only do we have a lot of stuff we have collected over the years in our own household, we have acquired even more stuff.
We aren’t the original owner of Holstein House. I know it has gone throughat least two others, the builders’ and the family who bought it from them. We have stuff here from both of those households, on top of our own.
Just to look at the stuff is exhausting.
I’ve tried yard saling. I’ve tried Craig’s List. I’ve tried Marketplace. The only thing left is donating. I dont’ mind it. It’s just such a hassle. Right now my truck is full and I need to take it all in. Having things picked up is fine but I have to have somewhere to stage things till the truck gets here.
What if we made Thursday a #ThriftingThursday? We either donate usable “stuff” so others can thrift shop, or we share what we found thrifting for our own use?
