Moving one thing at a time
I really want to get a formal back porch built. I want one that goes from kitchen door, and wraps around the back. I probably won’t get it this year, but I have several things that need moved in order to do it.
The previous owner had a 4x8 post with a wooden bird feeder on top behind the house. I’m only 5’6” and it was a reall challenge for me to reach it.
The feeder rotted away leaving just a flat piece of wood atop the post. I managed to get that post out the other day. Today I moved the rose bush that was next to it.
Now, I enjoy roses. That bush, like many others, was just in a terrible spot. I moved it to the east side of the house. If it survives the move I will create a more formal flower bed for it. The lattice behind it needs a sturdier post but until I know if it will survive that’s what it gets.
There are so many little things that need done. Just like any other home.
