The email sounded both suspicious and urgent. “Hellow, My name is [K]. and I am a travel nurse in the Charleston area. I need different accomodations quickly.”
K rented a basement room for her work in the area. In the hours before she reached out to me roughly four inches of rain fell on the area, overwhelming the city sewage system. The basement drain was under a rug, under her bed. She knew right away the increasing wetness wasn’t rainwater.
The landlord confirmed her suspicion. Right away she searched Airbnb for options. She found Holstein House and reached out to me. Over the course of the morning we exchanged 25 email messages.
The only thing I did not provide was onsite laundry. K’s workschedule made it a deal killer if she was forced to go to town, 12 miles away, to clean her scrubs.
I asked if she would stay if I found a portable washer. She agreed. I started mysearch.
The video in the link below gives you an overview of I went through to find one.
Right now we have to set it in the bathtub to use. However, I hope to find a cabinet to put casters on. I really don’t want this setting in the batheroom all the time.
What ideas do you have for storing one of these?
