If you are looking for a different type of snack to serve your friends at a party, or watching sports, or you are just craving a little bit of bite, and a lot of flavor dragon balls might be for you!
I created this recipie when my husband came back from working in Indiana. He loves a German restaraunt out there called Ghersthaust. They serve a saurkraut ball with a horseradish dip that he orders at every visit.
I looked everywhere for a knock-off recipie, even digging out a 40 year-old church cookbook, but none of them were the same. They all included sausage. He swears there is no sausage in the ones he had.
What to do?
Well, I created my own and I'm sharing it with you here.
You will need:
2 cups Giardinera (a fermented cauliflower, carrot, and serrano pepper mix), drained
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
Thoroughly mix the giardinera and cream cheese, refrigerate 4 hours or overnight
Mix eggs in a medium bowl.
Place bread crumbs in a pie plate.
Shape by one tablespoon measure into a ball. Dip in egg wash, roll in bread crumbs, place on air fryer tray.
Air fry at 350* for 30 minutes, or until toasted.
The dip
1 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon horseradish
